My 8500 is 8 years old and still works great; saved me heaps of times. I’ve never gotten a ticket in my life. ...They are only gauges spitting back information, if you don’t know how to read the information, they won’t help you.

I use both. The redundancy helps, but the detector is much more reliable and practical for locating speed traps. Not even close.
