Exactly. Sheldon, like most of the characters on the show, are bullies. It takes a certain amount of skill, like that of Jim Parsons, to make you forget that the characters’ behavior is reprehensible (on a show where its not supposed to be). But there it is.

The only reason Sheldon is interesting at all is because of Jim Parsons’ EXCELLENT performance.

Seriously. The cynicism here on The Root is a bit much for this black man.

Fuck this wypipo for caring a little.

I dont get the outrage. Being Black myself, I applauded her. She pretty much called the school out and others on their bullshit and exposed the stark contrast between Black and White. She never claimed to be an activist or anything like that. She saw the double standard, and proved that it existed.

Bill O’Reilly fawningly described what the electoral college is for: “the white establishment.” Without the electoral college, the Republicans lose the executive branch forever and state-wide initiatives to disenfranchise voters become toothless. Right-pulling legislation will become an eternal battlefield. A

I can understand appointing 1 or 2 industry reps to serve on the advisory board

The guy in the video keeps referring to the cavalry as the “cavarly” and I can’t deal with it...

One of my husband’s mentors was a dynamic, accomplished woman who was president of the securities company he was working for about ten years ago. Married for 32 years, two teenaged children, served on numerous boards and was just generally a deeply involved, connected and vibrant person. She ended her life one night

The New York legal community is in shock. Colleagues of mine who have argued before her said that she was an excellent judge.

We can all help prevent suicide. The Lifeline provides 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones, and best practices for professionals.

Falling in line every time JUST MOVES THE FUCKING LINE.

I’m interested to know if Americans have a proper network in place to deal with this kind of thing. I’m from Northern Ireland where abortion has always been illegal and we have organised ourselves to make sure that every woman in need can get an abortion. It’s not the ideal way but it’s invaluable. Your Irish sisters

Thats a rather alternative view of what happened. Jafari tweeted out his support of White Supremacy. A personality from a different medium asked him to come on his show and talk about it where Jafari said even more white supremacist lies and then Jafari on his own Youtube channel double downed on his white supremacist

And I don’t want to hear a voice that reminds me that the actor thinks my race is inherently violent and criminal.

I’m still making my way through this, but I call red herring!

It’s the Welfare Queen thing all over again, really. If a system is not 100% perfect in using taxpayer money and there are non-virtuous individuals using government programs, the programs themselves are clearly not worth it and should be scrapped. I mean, who cares if a program is 99% successful; if that 1% is wasting

Hey here’s a fun thing; consider what kind of world we’d be living in if 2009 had opened with the following headlines.

I like the drag. It re-emphasizes that women are perceived as less than men. Craig loses power by putting on a dress, he becomes less than. If a woman were to put on a man's suit (the suit that he was wearing) she would gain power. Man as woman= silly ridiculous. Woman as man = serious. The whole women should aspire
