Thirdeded! My plan was to get a ps4 and a vita, mainly for remote play. And then I remembered Spelunky is on the vita, along with all the other psx games I have. I am in the gaming butter zone, lately.

Getting into Indie games is what did it for me. In the last couple of years very few games had made me really look forward to playing them. I used to buy a AAA game and start playing it and feeling like doing a chore instead of having fun.

In our case, we hand build the layout of each room and populate it with things like trap-nodes (which tell the system where it can place things like spikes and lava-pits), and hand-placed enemy patrol paths.

Sony sells $400 consoles. What you are asking for requires much more expensive hardware right now. If that's important to you, you're welcome to spend a couple thousand on the best PC you can buy and wait for game development to catch up.
