Potterheads? I think there’s an extra syllable in there.
I’ve been re-reading these with my kid and after the tedious slog that was Order of the Phoenix I think David Yates had a much more difficult job of turning that into a watchable movie.

I was so completely disappointed by this movie when I saw it on opening day. I think the originals had just been re-released so I was already going in with incredibly high expectations. My disappointment will sustain my negative opinion of this movie no matter how many re-releases it gets or how my apologetic “it’s…
Maybe they’re hoping we forgot about them already.
oh. you’re citing the talented ones. You forgot Michael Douglas in that case.
That was my thought. The rampant crunch culture in Japan means they were likely working 20 hour days 7 days a week and getting paid half what a US artist would make.
While I agree Hollywood needs to rethink their approach, I don’t think this is the best solution.
west side story was a thoroughly unneeded remake while the rest just don’t have very good songs. My favorite musicals: West Side Story, Chicago, South Park, Sound of Music, Rocky Horror, All That Jazz ..., Crazy Ex-Girlfriend had good songwriting. Maybe get rid of the rapping seagulls? Maybe Lin-Manuel Miranda needs…
I’m not sure I watch these for the tight pacing.
I suspect most people have wised up and only keep 1 or 2 active subscriptions and then move around to something else when the content has exhausted. Up next, mandatory annual subscriptions!
I hooked up a compressor to my home stereo mainly because you’d get mumbly dialogue and LOUD music within seconds of each other. The compressor fixes my need to constantly change the volume depending on the scene.
You’re remembering things that happened longer than a week ago. That’s your problem. You’ve got to be all in on the drama of the day. I see similar hypocrisy on the left with an equally short attention span; it’s just that side doesn’t seem hellbent on destroying the country.
I’ve nearly replaced the entire drivetrain and suspension on my 25-year-old rattlebox; all due to hunting down random noises and vibrations. I feel your pain. It sounds like the noises on this guy might be a feature rather than a bug though.
Salesman at the dealership told me the oil needs to be changed when the oil light comes on. Surprisingly my oil light did come on after 6k miles but that was for an unrelated reason.
The showrunners wanted a season long arc where none existed in the source material and didn’t do it very well. The pacing and some of the character decisions made no sense on the tv series. I can’t really site any examples, I just found it frustrating. I was even more annoyed after I read the first graphic novel and…
Apparently his real cult movie is How to Get Ahead in Advertising. Since I can’t find it anywhere on this page. Even Warlock gets a mention.
... But think of the children. I love how censorship always backfires and makes the vilified media even more popular. Other times I swear the outrage is manufactured to generate hype like with Natural Born Killers, the Blair Witch Project, or Miike’s Dead or Alive.
Who trusts the cops any more? Any time there’s a potential felony involved you’ve got to lawyer up. Talking to them only makes their life easier, not yours.
Credit always seemed to me to be the reverse of what it should be. Why give people with the best ability to pay their bills regularly the best deals? Lower percentage rates should go to the people with the lowest credit ratings. All those bank fees that nail people scraping by from paycheck to paycheck should…
Trickle down was the attempt by Hoover to recover from the Great Depression before FDR’s New Deal. This dumbass idea been around a lot longer than this guy and has never ever worked.
Watch movies from the 30s and 40s where the leading man is usually twice the age of his costar. There’s a lot of them, but any Cary Grant movie will do. I think Charade (from the 60s) was the only one where the age difference was even hinted at being more than a little creepy.
