That’s in the hard mode dlc

No. Having weapons break halfway through a fight is not what I want to make an encounter harder. I want the actual enemy and it’s AI to do that. The durability system is an arbitrary way to make the game “difficult” when in reality it’s just an annoyance.

Horizons design encourages you to use different types of weapons because they work better to take down different kinds of enemies. that’s a much better reason to experiment then... “oh shit my sword broke again”

It does not do all those things right, that’s precisely why there are articles being written about them now. And Horizon is amazing so calm your tits.

If those existed that would be great. But they don’t.

Your shotgun doesn’t explode into a million little shards in a shooter never to been seen again.

It’s not nitpicking and it is bullshit. As far as I can tell it doesn’t get any better later in the game. I just finished the 4th steampunk colossus and have gotten through about 50 shrines in around 50 hours of gameplay, I have the master sword and all the other special champion weapons and that shit breaks too!

Just a case. Oh and two breath of the wild amiibos. Other than that I think I’m good for now!

It’s funny that you imply my opinion equated to telling you that you were wrong or that you should be enjoying the game less because it doesn’t. Never tried to take anything away from you dude. Never told you your view on the game made you wrong. Just that I didn’t share that opinion. Have a good night.

Why are you concerned with the reasoning behind my criticism? You seem to think it’s more than the fact that those mechanics detract from the overall experience for me. Having a bullshit tie in to the history in the storyline doesn’t change the fact that I don’t like the mechanic and make it more fun suddenly. So you

Offering a criticism for one particular thing in a game is not shitting on it. But ok.

Listen, something that I find annoying in a game in no way affects your enjoyment of it. Luckily I couldn’t care less what kind of importance you want to project onto what in my opinion is a bad design choice.

Ugh, dude you are ridiculous. You are mentioning tools that are basically used to solve puzzles and get you to new places. That’s fine. Those have been replaced with a stamina system which is also somewhat of an annoyance at times. None of that changes the fact that having to use things you don’t want just isn’t that

I don’t need a game to force me to experiment. I would have done that anyway. But in this case when I find a favorite thing I don’t get to keep it until I find something that I like more.

Yeah I don’t want to be forced to use anything. I mean it’s cool that it doesn’t bother you but everyone won’t have the same experience.

The game encourages you to use different weapons without the durability. Using a scimitar against an enemy with long ass spear doesn’t work so well. So that encourages you to switch it up. Arrows don’t bust rocks so well but a iron sledgehammer sure does. They could have had the same effect without the annoyance.

Lmao the point is they don’t all fit together. The weapons system contradicts everything else about the game. And there is no assumption. There is nothing logical about the way the weapons are implimented. And just because someone doesn’t share your opinion that everything in this game is wonderful does not mean they

I like fun. That’s why I’d love to not have to worry about weapons breaking every 3 minutes. You can’t talk about logic when there are other things in the game that contradict it. That’s just assinine.

Yeah a metal sword that breaks after 10 hits is super logical.

Gotta say I play it everyday... but the breakable weapons are trash
