While I too think that ULTIMATELY this really is all Lochte’s fault, there was, eventually, once everyone figured out something had happened, very clear footage of a bad pass. So, Gatlin’s fault, legit DQ (same thing happened to Canada in London, so I feel your pain) but when all is said and done, yes. FUCK LOCHTE.

National Karma is a bitch.

Hopefully, a Latin news organisation means someone who actually knows stuff beyond bitching about Jürgen writing about soccer!

But she is the exact type of talent we need... little risk, maximum reward.

The fact they have to have a straight leg when impacting the ground is why it looks so goofy. I agree with you that it’s a very intense activity and pushes the human body to it’s limits. I would like to see it removed from the Olympics.

BUT it made for one of my favorite MitM episodes

I agree. I imagine if you have a violent temper you aren’t very discriminate about who you raise a hand to, human or animal. Here is to hoping he gets mauled by tiny dogs with tiny teeth.

Definitely. I feel like it’s a very short distance between beating a woman/kid/dog, and in the minds of these assholes who would do one, they’d be down to do the other two. FUCK those guys, all day, every day, for forever and a day.

This. If he would beat a dog, he would beat a human. Of course Baylor didn’t do anything. They let their players rape people without consequence, dogs don’t even hit their radar. Fuck this guy. Forever.

Wow, that’s fucked up. He made a mistake, sure, but he doesn’t deserve to have his basketballs ruined.

It looks painful too, the way they move their hips like that.

that post should have had the spoiler alert #humblebrag

I agree with you 100%. It seems incredibly lame outside looking in but once you get below around 10-12 minutes/mile, walking becomes ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE harder than running.

when i was in the best shape of my life coming off plebe summer at the naval academy, the best i could manage was a 6:20 mile. yeesh. granted, I was 6'1 and 200 lbs, but still.

Yeah, Bolt is simply the fastest man ever. But, these greatest track field discussions have a lot more depth to them.

I think the Lane 1 vs. 8 question is for the final rather than the Americans’ do-over at the qualifying heat.

It’s still stupid.

Most people couldn’t RUN a 6:01 mile.

And now he’s going to be disqualified for having the runs.

Watched the re-run last night. Mrs. OneChopstick looked up from her phone just in time to catch the final stretch and remarked, “there’s no one even around her!” (thinking the US had such a dominating lead)
