As a man, I’ve had female bosses (technically, boss’s boss’s boss) who treated women MUCH worse than men.

I think the conversation is, “A lot of people who have power tend to abuse that power. A lot of people who have power are men.” Powerful women could absolutely pull the same stuff as the men we’ve seen, but it’s a much smaller pool and (at least in terms of like, office jobs) women have a harder time getting above…
Not for nothing, but the current Secretary of State called him an “fucking idiot”.
Oh, for sure. Being an uninformed voter is arguably worse than not voting because you’re uninformed. Ideally, though, you’d be an informed voter.
The best thing we can do for our children is raise them to be civic-minded. Seeing an 18 year old eschew voting because they aren’t informed is a real bummer.
A lot has changed since then. As for who could beat her, it depends on who decides to run, obviously. Pingree could make a run for it. John Baldacci, I dunno. There are people out there who could oust her just by pointing to this tax vote and every Trump cabinet member (for me, DeVos).
If only Maine had ranked voting...................................-_-
She’s my senator, and this is her game. She’s coasted for a long time as being a moderate, appealing to purple Mainers (who are socially liberal, but have some center-right policy stances. Basically 80s-90s Republicans who would be considered far left psychos today). Since the election, people are paying MUCH more…
The problem I’ve always had with a three-party system is that, invariably, that third party siphons votes from one of the other two; it’s always some kind of extreme splinter. It’s either ultra liberal or ultra conservative (the Tea Party, while technically part of the Republican Party, functions like this).
It’s funny (not funny haha but “ok unplug my life support” funny) that Roy Moore’s defense now is, “He didn’t molest every underage girl he came across.”
No, Jeets!
I used to crush a 2L of Diet Pepsi every day when I was a teen/early twenty-something. The thought of that now (at 33) makes me want to puke.
Democrat Jones, lesser known than his cousin, Basketball.
Thanks bro, I’ll pay my Kinja ticket next week.
Yeah. In a 12-man with 2 RBs, 3WRs, and flex, you gotta take what you can get. Got him like 3 weeks ago for $5, so good deal.
True. He’s only 26 though, and you can’t coach being tall and fast. I figured if he get’s 98751409837 targets that turn into 4 for 90, that’s 10 pts in my flex for the playoffs. Not bad!
I picked up Gordon in fantasy, and while he had a very decent game for his return, it was disheartening to see him get 4 catches on 983750984375 targets.
I haven’t seen enough of Kaiser to have an opinion: is he “never will be good” bad, or is it “needs time to develop but the NFL doesn’t like to do that anymore” bad?
Well that changes things!
Comedians don’t need to go around grabbing and kissing people who don’t want it. If you want to compare, it’s not quite as bad as being a serial molester that gets banned from shopping malls.
