Have A Blessed Day
The Generals and Admirals give it a certain tone. Like Dr. Strangelove or other cold war-type satire.
I was trying to figure out what they reminded me of and you nailed it. It looks like if you shook his hand too hard, his arm would come off comically and stuffing would come out the shoulder of his jacket.
Wow, this was like “There was an old lady who swallowed a fly,” only even more awesome
And puppy dog eyes
BOTH my first and second husbands have the same name as my dad. My dad goes by a different nickname (and isn’t a huge presence in my life) so that hasn’t been so bad, but husbands 1 and 2 go by the exact same one. Not surprisingly, the current husband has hated this the most by far.
I could watch it again on a rainy day like today. The soundtrack is lovely.
Very cool, I know he was a NYC/NJ show fiend in the 80s and 90s (and a big Minutemen fan). Thanks for that tip! He loves to wax nostalgic about pre-Giuliani NYC, lol.
Oh goodness. So far in my close locality, we’ve just had “cat yoga” at a pet adoption place. I don’t know if I’m just a grouch, but my cat gets on my nerves when I’m doing yoga or other floor exercises at home and he’s in my business.
This is badass, imagine seeing that live. I got into LZ late in life (college age, early 1990s) and am still amazed at new things I hear every time I listen. Internet Archive is a great rabbit hole, thanks! I can’t believe I’ve never looked around here, but I think I’ve heard my husband say he finds Clash stuff here…
Led Zeppelin, Kashmir
Ugh. - signed, a yoga instructor
That’s so cool, I love seeing musicians at shows. It’s like hello, fellow fan. The indie and college rock-type shows of the 1990s were great for that too.
I remember the Bears! And my ex was a tremendous Belew and King Crimson fan, it’s more fun than that sounds to hear this stuff again. Check this out, from the show “Fridays,” if anyone else remembers that. It was a lighthearted era of prog rock. And what also caught my eye is that the Bears album cover is by Mort…
I’m one of those bad liars, and my “emergency” fake name is the equivalent of changing it from “Samantha Johnson” to “Johanna Samuels,” that tracks
Cool, I had completely forgotten about this tune and how much I like it
Oh man that is brutal and so funny!
Yes, I don’t understand why that batshit incident isn’t mentioned and the video played every time her ass is discussed. I even watched her train wreck of a reality show and her incoherence and odd aggressiveness on that show paled in comparison to the refugee video.
Wow, I am sitting next to my best friend who had exactly that done (under eyes) and she does look fantastic. If I were so inclined I would get my varicose veins removed, just for me.
