The Impulse RS and the Pulsar NX were both great cars, have you lost your mind??

Now playing

He’s probably looking for ‘street cred’.

$200k to spend and you’re asking for advice? He doesn’t have a pretty solid opinion of what he wants, or does he simply want to tell someone he has $200k to blow to gloat?

Let people enjoy things.

Head in the sand is thinking electric vehicles that are still not proven to be profitable, make up less than 1% of the market and that have minimal infrastructure in place to support, are going to magically take over the world overnight. People drive used cars for decades. People live in rural areas. People drive

I have such an internal conflict with this. For the most part I agree, new cars are a waste of money. But on the other hand, if I don’t buy a brand new manual transmission car, they might think no one wants manuals! So I bought new both of my last two cars, a 2016 Challenger Scat Pack and a 2019 BBS Miata, both

It’s the exact same reason iPhone sales are plummeting, they’re ridiculously expensive.

Not for the rest of the world.  Not everyone lives in a big city.

This one is easy. Cars are lasting longer, and more expensive to buy, so people buy less often. Unless you absolutely have to have the newest safety features, a 10 year old car is going to have the same features as a brand new car.

BMW still expects...diesels to survive for at least 20 more years and gasoline engines for at least 30 years.”

I think it’s because new cars are so mentally expensive. But, the thing is, you can still get deals out there if you are willing to swallow your pride and drive a small hatchback or sedan.

For most people it’s financial reasons.  For me it’s because new cars are overly-complicated, hideous, soulless appliances.

Have people finally realized you don’t need a new car every few years??? Nope, they are all just as broke as I am.

I coulda been a contendah...
