And I for one love it this way. This is a driver’s car. A driver is engaged in the experience, not texting, eating and facebooking while driving.

Exactly!
Honestly, missing all of those features is a bonus to me. Instead of having to figure out how to turn them off in the infotainment settings I can just NOT have them in the first place? Fuck yeah!
Those are all items I wouldn’t want and actively avoid anyway.
The problem is that the consumer is already taxed. An F150 starts at 30K for a base model stripper, and anything that people want is $45K, whilst getting 21mpg. If they opt for the smaller Maverick, it’s $15K+ cheaper, and the base engine gets 40mpg city and still big enough to fit adults in the back seat.
But we can…
im still holding a grudge here
GR Yaris for sure. AWD with front and rear torsens, manual trans, turbo engine in a lightweight little 2 door hatchback? Sign me up. I would trade my STI Hatch in on one asap if they sold it over here.
My 2019 Alltrack SEL manual looks very similar in it’s own way. What a nice car you had there!
A 7k quarter million mile 4runner/tacoma of this generation is going to be far more reliable than basically anything else you can get for 7k regardless of the vintage.
The whole used market has gone batshit crazy, and Toyota trucks of this vintage weren’t cheap to begin with. I suspect this one will sit for a while until someone who specifically wants a stick snaps it up. That someone will use it for overlanding and won’t give a crap about the dents as long as it checks out…
Beat up body, 250,000 miles, nearly 25 years old, $7000. Crazy, no Dice.
“But it’s a Toyota” will only get you so far, and it doesn’t get me to $7k with >250k miles.
I like it. I just don’t $7000 like it.
I’ll go beyond ‘not paying extra for’ and instead ‘willing to pay extra to remove’ almost anything electronic.
Here’s another idea: instead of doubling down on the economically illiterate protectionist garbage, how about we get rid of the EV tax credit all together?
Jalopnik has become a leftist circle-jerk so don't worry about all the hate thrown your way. We need to mix cars and politics now apparently. Ask even one of these people what "far-right" even means
Well, I guess good for that far-right trumpster fighting off those carjackers? The far-left seem to be obsessed with crime and destruction. I’ve personally seen what Portland has become, not too thrilled about it. Now they approve of carjacking? smh.
If it was 4WD, it’d be NP. Thats the only thing holding me back.
Very tidy and purposeful look to that bike.
