I saw a quote from a car designer once, I think he was from Jaguar, who said something like (and I’m paraphrasing), “you should be able draw only 2-3 flowing lines on a piece of paper and be able to accurately and recognizably describe a particular car. If it takes more than those 2-3 lines, then your design is bad”

Actually I kinda always like these, and I am soooooo not a Chevy guy. 4.3l and a 5spd and I’m in!

I have a friend who tried to stoplight drag a Lightning of this vintage lightning back in late 90s in his ‘91 4-Runner V6. I just laughed, looked over at him, and was like “what are you doing?””... He just thought it was some run of the mill F-150.

Hell I won’t drop my VW off with the valet, let alone a Ferrari.

Exactly this... “Good for thee, but not for me.” Either that or they hate driving in general and just want commuter bubble devices for all.

I hate to break it to the “I want everyone else to have it so I can blast around in my Miata crowd.” Once the NHTSA and insurance companies get their hooks well established into

Star for you. I agree.

You seem to think that once they come for our steering wheels they won’t come for your handle bars. They’ll come for you too, or legislate you off the road as a hindrance and unpredictable factor in the way of “safe” AI operated cars ...

I did it twice and I learned the hard way on this.. in my defense. I was a teenager and stupid at the time.

I keep thinking I’ll buy some, and I never do. Its an item constantly on my agenda.

Of the 3 choices I’m presented with. I’ll go with the ‘08. But Really never understood the appeal of this “special edition” beyond the nostalgia factor. Even the original car in the movie was really nothing that special and outclassed by the Charger R/T it was chasing.

If I’m buying a “special edition” modern Mustang,

I would agree the early S-197s (05-09) look dated. But the late cars (10-14) look thin and svelt, as compared to the thicker heavier looking S-550 cars. Especially in the nose which on the S-550 looks very thick and tall (thanks global pedestrian impact standards). The only angle I think the S-550 looks subjectively

Disagree. I know looks are subjective, but the S-550 looks like a 2 door Fusion to me.

Man, that GT500 is so much better looking than the current one. I miss the late S-197.

It’s way WAY cool and beautiful, but.... For that amount of money I think I’d rather have an Icon Bronco.

I’d say she’s decently lowered, but I wouldn’t go so far as to say slammed. But I’ll take the compliment ;)

Damn Straight.

Let’s just say I drive this....

The intersections I’m talking about don’t have a turning lane. That extra width adds lots of visibility, and less likely to be in a “rural” area.

No... The article said “Acura alluded to a new Turbo V6... that will be on several cars moving forward”. It didn’t say it would be part of Type-S package or even exclusive to it. It could be in every single/higher trim level.

Also see Jalopniks article about the TLX A-spec which the article also mentions.

Make no mistake, I’m not arguing or saying Boo #SUVsSuck, #SaveTheSedan. Except on your first point (and I live in a rural area), I’ve never felt like I couldn’t see what was coming down the road at an intersection in my Fiat, Golf, Passat, etc, except...... when a giant SUV pulls up on my right or left side to make
