I think it is less to do with him simply being a foreigner, as many non-americans have won the race. It seems to be focused on the fact that he is Japanese. You have the wonder if the reaction would be the same if the driver who had won was German.

In truth I think that those expressing such opinions are an extremely

Can we stop painting the bumper/crash bars on cars black, like that will somehow make it invisible amongst the black grille area. We can see it just fine, it’s a solid piece andobviously not part of the enormous grille opening that you want to fool us into believeing it is.

My Suzuki Sidekick.. I used to make fun of Geo Trackers when I was in high school in the 90s, all the while cruising around In my ‘70 Mustang in N. Georgia. I moved to Indiana around 1999 and ended up needing a “winter beater” to save my Harlequin from road salt after I got rid of my Daytona (around 2007) and wanted

I like them, especially the Nismo versions. I don’t care what anybody says.

The body cladding is taped on? That’s... amazing.

Yep...

A lot of cars have bodykit pieces held on with double sided trim tape. It’s not that uncommon. There are clips down an inch or two from the top edge, but the there is trim tape around the edge of them yes.

We live out in the country and have 4.5 acres to mow. It take about 5-6 hours on a 50" rider just to mow (not counting any trimming etc). It gets mowed when we have time and when it’s not wet or threatening to rain. Sometimes that’s every 2 weeks, sometimes is a lot more.

Having a lot of yard pretty much guarantees

Yes you can do this absolutely. But don’t buy new. I have a buddy who just artificial turfed his 1300 sq. ft. deck. The professional quality stuff is really expensive if you buy new, but there are places that buy up turf from stadiums when they upgrade their fields every couple of years. That’s what he did, and it

The sagging skirts is a bad design and super common... They are bolted in at the bottom along the pinch weld and moulded such that they don’t actually make contact with the body at the top when bolted in. So FCA relies on a small 1/4" piece of DS trim tape to bend the urethane over and hold the top to the body. It of

That’s not far off I’d say.

I’ve heard horror stories like this, but I have a 2012 with 63k miles and it has never given me issues like that. The “ONLY” thing it has been to the shop for is the double sided tape that holds the skirts on failed and caused them to sag. (that attachment area is only 1/4" wide). Hell not even a rattle.

On yours with

I’ve heard similar horror stories on Abarths. But I have a 2012 with 63k miles that has never given me an ounce of issue and runs and drives like a champ.

I’ve got a 2012 with 62k miles and the only thing it has gone into the shop for is the double sided tape that attaches the side skirts failed and caused them to sag. Mine has never given me a bit of trouble and is super reliable.

I know right. That whole area down around the track is pretty sketch. If I ever find myself down there I try be out of the area by time it gets dark.

The UP! Is odd looking and I’ve never been a fan of it. Not in any trim level. And I say this as a huge VW fan. The biggest problem I see with the UP! Is the car it replaced, the Lupo, I would just plain rather have, or better yet a Polo.

Flew to Miami to pickup my Harlequin and drove it 1,200 miles back to northern Indiana.

I’m in a couple of closed FB groups for Harlequin owners, so stuff like this doesn’t go unnoticed in that small community. And yes there are plenty of parts out there except for the Harlequin specific stuff like seat cloth, which I would kill for a couple of yards of.

Originally 264... how many are left? I’d say half or less. I’ve seen 3 of them hit the junkyard since the first of just this year.

Some people I know, their’s says “multiple”, but mine says the base color which is “yellow” because the Indiana DMV couldn’t (or wouldn’t) put that in.
