You’re mostly right, but we did learn some important concepts that are much more appreciated today than they were then. Things like equality and, for lack of a better term, global citizenship. Much more widely held today.

Joe Biden is an existential threat to the “ people of color, to the LGBTQ community, to the sick and the poor...” tho by your logic we should all line up to vote for him if he’s the nominee.  

Re people of colour: Biden wrote the crime bill which helped lead to the mass incarceration of POC. Wrote the counter-terrorism act that later became the patriot act which is, well, not so good for brown people.
