Not sure what buyer beware has to do with this. “Supply and demand” is kind of lazy, as well.
Take off the orange-tinted glasses. They’re fucking with your brain.
Classy neighbors you’ve got there. /snark
You don’t know how this works, do you? Manufacturers don’t see a penny of the markups.
Except he wasn’t talking about the 2021. The new R is on its way to dealerships.
It’s not for the first time he posts dreck like this. Slideshows are probably the best of his work, actually.
Just like we are that Hodge is a journalist and not a clickbaiting Enquirer reject.
If you think the Golf R will not have a similar markup to the GTI, I’ve got a bridge or two to sell you.
Hold MY beer. I just found a used 2019 Rabbit GTI with 46 miles (so, basically new, but previously-registered) that retailed for around $31K new (MSRP)...for $44K. Doesn’t even come with the original wheels.
You’d be waiting all your life. It’s not happening.
Yeah, it was. I don’t think they became any rarer (used, anyways) as the almost two years went on, but their prices certainly went all the way the fuck up. There are three available on Vroom right now, with the cheapest having a not insignificant 45K miles and costing $31K. Cars.com has ten, including one from Vroom,…
It actually looks good in this image. In the real world the proportions look completely out of whack and it just looks awkward.
We bought my mom a Kia Niro in August through Costco. The dealers aren’t allowed to mark the cars up, but they certainly can try to sell you an emergency roadside kit for $1,800 to make up the difference. Lucky for us, a phrase “fuck you, we’ve got a better offer elsewhere” and a threat to report their tactics to…
Welp, looks like I just scored a bargain with my ‘17 FoST (ST2) with 30K miles. $24Kish all out, from Vroom of all places. And it also makes me look like a moron for passing up a ‘19 Rabbit Edition GTI with DSG for $26K less than a year ago. That car is worth about $33K now.
Ha, would that it were so. Still can’t get the manual Mazda3 with the turbo. So much for top spec.
Western Europe does buy them. Not in huge numbers since the Puma came out, but the UK and Germany still sell them in some decent numbers.
Explain our Impreza deal, then :)
Try formulating your thoughts better or looking up words you don’t understand in a dictionary. Every racing series is an exhibition. The definition of the word does not include a measure of competitiveness.
