I spent more time watching this video than I did driving at my last autocross. :-P

And Brian Anderson for Brewers TV broadcasts!
I have a feeling the performance is not going to justify the price.
Going up and down through the gears without touching the clutch,
Why buy a house when you can buy Ken Block’s rally car?!
I’d like to formally invite him or her to come ice racing. Put some studded tires on there and things are about to get awesome.
You’re crazy if you don’t think they asked Tiff.
That would require a whole lot more engineering than re-designing the existing Fiesta platform for AWD.
Might happen, but never with AWD. Lets face it - there isn’t the demand to justify development cost. There’s barely demand for the Fiesta ST. Sure, everyone raves about it (I love mine!) but they seem to sell very few - at least in the US.
I used to maintain that the Corvette Fastback prototype was the prettiest Corvette... until I saw the Scaglietti Corvette (well, “Corvette Italia”) in person this weekend. My goodness, that’s a classy looking car.
I had a BRZ, ended up in a Fiesta ST. I’m not planning on taking the Party ST to the track, so that comparison doesn’t matter. The BRZ was incredibly capable and fun, but it does not come close to the livable fun of the Fiesta. You can get a little wild in the Fiesta and nobody will notice. The torque difference is…
It really is an incredible little car.
Actually, the Focus ST is usually available for less than the Fiesta ST, despite the ~$3k higher MSRP. It may be faster and bigger, but bigger isn’t necessarily a good thing (especially for a hot hatch) and I don’t think it’s more comfortable than the Fiesta.
It’s awful. I couldn’t even imagine.
That’s right—no Fiesta ST, says Tyrone Johnson, who is the lead engineer of Ford Performance.
where people will still consume.
When they announced it in February, I was on board 100%. I committed to not spending another dime on modifying my BRZ. Then I realized I didn’t want to track a $38k+ car that I had to drive home. Track insurance is reasonable, yes. But breaking your daily driver is not fun, trust me.
The un-cropped version of that picture is so much better:
Depends on which site you “checkout” with. The Godaddy ones were $2800-ish for me, and the others were more or less.
I guess it’s all in perspective. A used $17-18k 2013 Focus ST with 30k-40k miles hasn’t depreciated too badly if the person paid $21-22k brand new. If they paid MSRP ($25k+) then that’s about right.
