The ST models have been relatively depreciation-resistant, and I have a feeling the RS will be as well. It’s closer to the STi in price and performance... which also holds its value shockingly well.

I’ve got my fingers crossed that this means Ford will schedule more dates for the ST Octane Academy.
Yep, snow. Sorry you’re missing out, man.
I gotta say, it sounds like a blast, but I really really disagree with getting into a car on track with a driver who’s unfamiliar with the track. I’m sure you trust him, but you talk about how scary the runoff areas are and how unfamiliar he was with Laguna Seca... all it takes is one wrong move.
They already are! And they’re selling a good number, from what I hear.
Hah! That’s only because I left out the four trips to the body shop, two months with the Mini out of commission, and a motorcycle that died four days after I bought it. Not as much fun with those parts mixed in.
Haha, there were a few reasons. I wanted the Fiesta ST when I was looking for a new car in 2013, but couldn’t find one quickly enough. I had been in a hit & run and couldn’t really wait for one. I wanted a WRX hatchback, but we know how that goes...
Nothing wrong with them, I liked having mine on my BRZ. I just don’t think I want one with the Fiesta.
Haha, roof racks that don’t get used are very bro. I think that applies more to the “stance” scene though - cars that are lowered to the point where you can barely use them anymore. This rack should get a good amount of use once summer comes.
Thanks! The roof rack is a little “bro-ish” for me, but I promise I’ll be using it once it warms up. I just wanted to get it put on before it snowed. No more hitch racks for me!
May I direct your attention to Mr. Speedometer?
Fantastic, making a post about cars that weren’t cool at first from a car that was cool from Day 1. Kinda nerdy, but still way cool.
The Subayota is *not* fast, straight line or corner.
So don’t complain about a car built for the twisties. Problem solved!
Show me the lap times.
0-60 and quarter mile are worthless to compare for two cars that were not made for drag racing (86 vs SUV/van/sedan)
Ha, you mentioned Patrick and he talked about how writers are pros. That’s a wonderful example!
It was a Lemons car! Just because it’s a race car doesn’t mean it has to be fast!
If they do make a Fiesta RS, there’s no chance it’ll be AWD - I don’t think they can give it enough performance to justify the price without it cannibalizing the Focus ST/RS market (depending where in that scale they price it).
Awesome! I’ll have to give it a shot - the local all-make dealership has a pitiful selection of gear, so most of what I’ve tried has been online orders that have been returned.
It’s not even leather. Textile “mechanic” gloves in general fit me strangely. Same thing with motorcycle gloves - you wouldn’t believe how many pairs I’ve tried - and I’m still drawing a blank and using my old ones.
