Most people with Teslas probably did have garages. But don’t let that sway you - it’s more important in Miami to have a nice car than a nice house. Lots of Maserati and Porsches parked outside of shacks in Little Havana. Not the worst neighborhood by a mile, but not fancy!

I used to live in Miami. For a city with virtually no charging stations (especially at that time...) there were a ton of them on the road. I’d see a handful every day in my 3-mile commute.

The Model X is suffering from Mercedes syndrome. Looks pretty good when you first see it, but somehow it invariably starts to look dated faster than anything else out there. The Model X (and Model S) used to look pretty great, but now I just can’t get excited. I used to feel like they looked good in their simplicity.

I’m going to go with the Honda CR-Z. It might not be fast, but it’s futuristic enough to make a good-looking hovercraft-car.

Well, no. I don’t think I’d ever buy one if it wasn’t a wagon. I’m planning on buying a Focus RS... If it wasn’t a hatchback I wouldn’t be interested. Same reason I didn’t consider the new WRX/STi when I was looking.

I have a feeling you’re going to try to say the reason they aren’t making it anymore is because the “enthusiasts” didn’t really buy them. That’s not my point.

I am very, very glad they put you on Road America. It’s a great track, and I’m enthusiastic about the fact that they’re putting a Cadillac out there. That says a lot about this car and really enforces what you said. It’s a Cadillac!

Obviously, all of this could be better if it was a wagon, but it still looks like it’ll

I’d prefer it were a manual, but haggle it down to $2k and I’m in. Not bad.

Really, it’s all in how you learn. I’m sure there are some Brits and Australians and Japanese folks who have the same opinion as you, only reversed.

I drive a RHD car in the USA... and I love it.

You (and everyone else) are missing my point. Yes, they’re different. They’re incredibly different. However, you’re going to tell me that 66 lb-ft is “crazy” when there are bikes on the market with well over double that? That’s my only point.

Ooh, you’re right. That is super weird. And awesome.

Got it! That's what I figured. Still pretty neat.

Someone else commented that 66 lb-ft is more than enough for a bike (true), but you’re absolutely right. 66 lb-ft is definitely not crazy at all when you consider the Kawasaki Ninja H2R has an estimated 115 lb-ft.

Maybe I’m alone, but I cannot wait to see the RHD model. It’s just so weird. A RHD Mustang! What a world we live in!

Too cool.

I’m just going to point out that the tagline of this page is “Adequate Man - Be Good Enough at Everything” and it sounds a bit like you’re advising against buying something that might need small repairs.

I saw this live at the bar on a small TV with no sound, so I couldn’t see the ball come out or hear the commentary. I was so confused....

That’s not how exchange rates work, though! The prices for cars generally work out to be generally about $1= £1 due to import/export etc. Your Alfa probably would have been about a $28-29k car if it had been sold in the US, depending on market pricing.
