The sensors were actually so good they could detect the crowd standing behind the haybales.

Click bait creates American jobs. Bloggers are people too.

I’d be thanking every holy figure in the book if I was in his situation!

They’re appliances that (with VERY few exceptions) depreciate in value.

4 years ago, i would not have understood this.

I’m not a libertarian, but I’m willing to reconsider for pizza

My wife and I call it “eclair phone.” It looks like someone holding/eating an eclair. I’ve never understood it. Why use speakerphone if you’re going to hold it nearly to the same point as if you didn’t use speakerphone?

Another things that pisses me off... The growing number of people I see talking on their phone, via speaker phone, while holding it up to their mouth like they are having a damn Nextel two-way conversation

And it’s really grounded to the ground!

This, and also, if they can afford (and park) it, take like 5-10k and get a damn Miata for the weekends.

Allow me to suggest one option no one has offered:

But a good way to get back on your feet is to miss two car payments.

Why not just make an actual sport sedan of that caliber instead, hmmmmmmmmmm?

I had a 2013 Abarth with stick and currently have a 2017 GTI Sport with stick. They are simply completely and utterly different cars. The Abarth is about as much fun as you can have with clothes on. It’s just a ridiculous silly little thing. The GTI is the exact opposite. It is serious and Germanic to the core.

It’s only a dog whistle if you actually mean it that way. If it’s not what a person really means, then the perceiver has simply misread the statement. And there’s not a whole lot of room for interpretation here. I think it’s extremely clear that Musk was operating in a specific context. Topolsky isn’t dredging up that

I think the word for the Abarth would be “Amusing”. The thing was a total go-kart; you could point it in a direction and it’d go there with the boost gauge bouncing off 18-psi. The exhaust made very childish noises. You can put the pedal all the way to the floor no matter where you’re going because it wasn’t really

Yeah, compared to an Abarth 500 that seems kinda weak. The Abarth makes 160HP, weighs about the same, and runs around screaming. It’s definitely not a car that takes itself seriously. I’d worry that a German answer to it would be too... reasonable.

It’s not odd.... the added inertia/energy engaging the front wheels prevents the front brakes from locking up as readily and thus allowing the tires to transfers a larger amount of energy into the brakes without skidding.

You made the front brakes weaker which made them more effective.

Why is this up for discussion?
