Actually, yes. I remember sometimes last year they introduced a new Kotaku that only focused on gaming. No culture, no Japanese things, no girls. I can't for the life of me remember how to find it, though.

If space battles are a component of Destiny, surely we will get more control over things like that. Long Night of Solace was so short and scripted that it wasn't worth having (new) players learn how to correctly fly the ship, let alone fight.

Remember that space battle in Halo Reach? How curious it seemed that such an incredibly polished part of the game was cordoned off to about 20 minutes of game time. Not even multiplayer space battles, despite the very tight controls and varied space craft.

Man, Bushido Blade was awesome! It was pretty tense, and it wasn't all one hit kills. Dismemberment could be worked in fairly easy as a lot of games do it (Deadliest Warrior comes to mind).

There's a map with a platform WAAAY up in the mountain where you have to skydive to the objective, but enemy Heli's can go up. My team was getting slaughtered up there by a heli, no one had RPG's, and we were just throwing grenades at the end. I whipped out my magnum, bang! I killed the pilot in 2 shots. Everyone on…
