Actually, the game was cracked a few days before release. It's extremely easy and fast to just download it from SKIDROW, all nice and easy. It's incredible how these guys still don't get it, DRM is just not effective, it's just a pain in the paying consumers neck. DRM is being bypassed on PSN, Xbox Live, Wii...…

Yes, it does have single player, but unfortunately, it's incorporating a new system which requires you to be online at all times, from installation to playtime. Yes, even singleplayer.
