The X2 is built on the same platform as the Mini Countryman. In base form, both the X2 and Countryman are FWD, ergo the traverse engine.

Have you actually heard of any of these style screens breaking? I haven’t. Not saying they can’t break, but I haven’t heard of any breaking.

You must work in HR.

I mean, he frequently tows a 10000# trailer, something no EV on the market can do, so yeah, he can’t ditch his truck yet.

Devil’s Advocate: That remains to be seen. I’d wait for a few real-world long term reviews to come back with actual fuel economy figures before making a decision. While it might be less complicated than a full parallel hybrid system, it’s still more complicated and expensive than the base ICE engine with minimal mpg

Moving electrons, or “angry pixies” as AvE calls them, scare people. People fear what they cannot see.

Yeah, I know quite a few truck bros who think all electric vehicles are overly complicated hippie-mobiles that will never catch on.

You completely missed his point. He was complementing the Ram V8, not bragging about his Subaru.

He isn’t dead you know...

Oh like you were really ever going to buy one...

Being BMW, this is a grossly conservative power figure. Even if it wasn’t, if you think a Z4 needs the 425hp from the M4, you’ve clearly never driven one.

That’s totally fine. The humor is definitely more relatable to the people that live in the area.

I’m honestly not surprised. The highways and industrial boulevards around my office just outside Portland have donut circles and burnout marks all over them, even in the middle of highways. The road right in front of my building is flat, arrow-straight, and about 1/2 mile long, so it’s been a popular drag spot for

You clearly aren’t from Portland then. As a native Oregonian living around Portland my entire life, I thought Portlandia was hilarious. My wife’s family were even in the show a few times.

Except there is. Portland International Raceway has hosted cheap weekend drag races for ages. $40 and a quick tech inspection (“yep, you have a seatbelt”), and you can burnout and drag race to your heart’s content.

BUUUUURRRRRRRNNNNNN!!!!!

More comfortable? Maybe than the Impreza, but not the Outback. I’m 6'1", and my Outback has tons of room.

All of this Tesla controversy is bizarre to me. On the one hand, it seems like an incredibly dumb tweet to make given the legal minefield that mergers and acquisitions must navigate. On the other hand, I just can’t believe Musk is that dumb. Brash/egotistical/a dick, sure, but not a moron.

Speaking from experience on my Outback, the heated wipers clear the entire windshield just fine.

Musk is an egomanic and one hell of a hype generator, but he’s not stupid. I’m sure he understands the ramifications of such statements and the huge legal issues with making false financial statements.
