Oh, and if they were to make a new run of MK5 Broncos, I think I would want mine with a 2.7L EcoBoost.

Really cool!
I think they might have mistaken a Gol for a Golf. Some early generations of the Gol were called the Fox. A Gol is a much cheaper car than a Golf.
Here are things that fit in my Golf that won’t fit into a longer sedan:
Came here to say that. I ended up getting a new Golf, but I gave the Soul a serious look. Also, the Soul is my favorite car that is reasonably obtainable from a rental car counter.
Deah gawd what a disastah
No manual, no care
Why not just have a prop rod for the trunk, too?
With a Golf R turbo, bigger injectors, and a tune, you can get 350hp out of the 1.8T that is in the Sportwagen and Alltrack.
No problems.
Actually, for an additional $400, APR offers its own warranty for the engine. (APR is one of the ECU tuning companies for VWs.)
The current VW 1.8T and 2.0T are essentially the same motor — it’s called EA888. A software tune can make the 1.8T perform like a 2.0T. Also, there are 3 turbos used on these motors for the Golf line:

Huge is a relative term. This is still shorter and narrower than a new F150 with the regular cab and short bed.
1. ?
Is her name Tracy David, by any chance?
The 96 Caravan has a Marginal rating in the one test that IIHS conducted, which is the small overlap crash test. The 96 Astro has Poor, which is the lowest rating. Neither is very safe, but the Astro is worse than the Caravan in the measurements that correspond to these crash test videos.
Haha yeah. I think the entry-luxury cars’ biggest audience is people who want to show off what #brands they can afford. Especially stuff like the Mercedes CLA. The 3-series / A4 / C-class are still legitimate drivers cars. But, for the same money as a base C-class, you can get a fully loaded GTI. And, then I figured…
I cross shopped the C-class and Golf earlier this year. I was pretty much ready to get a new C-class or something in that category. Then just happened to get Golf as a rental car on a business trip. I was really surprised how quiet the Golf is while also being fun to throw into a corner. At that point, I lost interest…
Came here to say this. I have a 2018 Golf S. I live in the US. But, last week, I rented an Audi A4 in Germany. In my view, there really isn’t much advantage to the A4 over the Golf. The Golf drives really well, it’s quiet, and it has the interior of a much more expensive car.
