Agreed. And, if you must brake mid corner, at least do left foot braking while applying steady throttle to keep the car settled.

The trick is to rent a non-flex-fuel car and return it full of E85. It’ll still run, but I’ve read that E85 will eventually wear out rubber seals on cars that aren’t designed for E85.

Definitely this. The 3.7L Mustang doesn’t only look fast; its spreadsheet indicates that it is fast. But it doesn’t feel that fast.

All my track days have been good. *shrug*

These bus drivers should really learn computer programming...

I’m hoping to go to one of those Wednesday night Laguna Seca bicycle rides... sometime soon! It’d be the first time I don’t use an entire tank of fuel in a day at Laguna Seca. :)

Came here to say this. I love that ORLOVE posted this... given that Jalopnik has defined “orloving” as “flipping a car”... ideally a Baja Bug. ;)

Test drives cost zero dollars. Anyone can afford to test drive a Lexus LS.

I’m an engineer, and that sounds like a good idea to me!

Thanks!

What track is this on?

What did you invest in?

My dad did this on a truck. “$3000 factory rebate, only if you finance it.” Mmkay... he got the $3k off, then paid the full balance the next day. Worked out great. I doubt he paid more than half of MSRP for his loaded F350.

I paid cash for my new car, and I am not a millionaire. This was possible because my car cost less than a million dollars.

Awesome! I’ve wanted to drive at Miller since I saw the Everyday Driver video about ST Octane Academy.

YESSSS!!! I still haven’t done a track day here, and I’m glad I now have the opportunity to do so. *signing up for track day at Miller*

If I lived in Austin, I think I would go to Harris Hill every day (or at least the ~3 non-racing, non-motorcycle days per week). I’d get work done occasionally while letting my car cool down.

In the US, I notice that quite a few people remove their license plates during track days. I suppose people could the same at the ‘Ring?

I’ve always wondered this, too. I wonder if the Nurbergring has flaggers/ corner workers.
