That is a great idea! My mom makes incredible pies — especially apple — and is getting up there in years. She doesn’t have any pie recipes; she just assembles them as she always has. She has shown me how she does it a few times, but I’m not good at learning that way.

I occasionally think back fondly to the grilled oysters I got at the farmers market in Manzanita, Oregon. If you like oysters, you’ve got to try them grilled.

Ha! When I first heard about Squirl’s moldy jam (my next band name?) I immediately thought of Theresa May.

I’m imagining them using one of the spatulas that’s been marinating in the moldy jam bucket to scrape off more mold and...eugh.

I’m going to have to try this with chimi sauce and with Nunya sauce. For science.

But Velveeta has eight letters!

Same. I should just thaw and eat the fruit since I have limited freezer space. Also, due to limited freezer space, I stocked up on canned vegetables like corn and green beans. Not a lot—maybe eight cans. And they’re all still sitting in my cupboard.

The employees were another story. One guy stood in the two-foot-space between the front door and the carts, looked me in the

And Etsy is full of masks for sale.

Yep, that’s my neighborhood. I would probably do it, too, if I owned a business that was closed due to COVID-19. Crime is way down and is likely to stay that way, but it’s one less thing to worry about.

Aaaand my Christmas shopping is done!

Aaaand my Christmas shopping is done!

In Seattle, where I live, delivery used to be limited mainly to pizza. If you wanted anything else you’d have to go get it yourself.

I couldn’t finish that episode.

Thank you! My friend’s holiday cookie decorating party is a blast. Some people get really into the decorating, while others are all about piling on as much frosting as possible, but either way it’s a good time. She uses buttercream, which dries well enough for transport much more quickly than icing.
