I don't understand why people get weird about tofu. I'm not a vegan but I use tofu in my smoothies - adds protein and thickens it like yogurt without the strong yogurty taste. I share this tip often and people are like "Ewww, gross!" - blended tofu is not gross!

I eat tofu on a regular basis. I keep some firm tofu marinating in various things my fridge at all times to put on salads. And I love to put silken tofu in smoothies and stuff to beef them up and add a little protein.
