Yes, but that’s not really an argument that the regulators should be espousing.

Exactly. You have never heard of how the US annexed the sovereign Kingdom of Hawai’i in 1898 (so that a few rich Americans could “settle” valuable land and take over existing farms to establish plantations), how we held its queen in captivity for decades after, and banned the teaching of the native language in schools

The American government absolutely re-writes history. I mean, just a year or two ago a text book was in the news for stating that the Cherokee voluntary marched on the Trail of Tears. Another was in the news for saying there were kind and generous slave owners and that there were slaves living happy lives in slavery.

The Nation of Hawaii would like to have a word with you about the US government not “rewiting history”.

You mean like how the American gov’t didn’t want to really talk about or acknowledge the atrocities done to Indigenous Americans?

Despite the direct competitive nature, Wal-Mart must be a fan of at least some aspects of Amazons business strategy. Specifically those drawing all attention from their own poor labor conditions.

Amazon:  America’s Foxconn.

Yup, and Gizmodo will continue to display Amazon ads an push products sold on Amazon.

Oh and while you’re here don’t forget to buy something so Giz can make some referral money from Amazon and put more pressure on some warehouse workers....

Conservatives and liberals both fall for bullshit. Conservatives are the ones who don’t care to learn from such an experience.

My online sources are:

A plane like the 737 should be as close to idiot proof as possible to fly. Its safety shouldn’t depend on pilots knowing “one weird trick.”

God bless these simple and honest engineers that never lose faith in a clean sheet of paper, a mechanical pencil and a few equations to solve any problem. Joking !

I’m lost. You got me confused with jargon, jargon derivatives, jargon options, and jargon futures.

All we really need to do is cut taxes and get rid of laws that stifle business. The “Trickle Down” will fix Global Warming.

If there’s a standard and universal method of taking geoengineering from idea to act with checks and balances and checks again, then maybe, just maybe, I’ll jump on board. There’s no standard method at the moment.

This was really well written. All the necessary caveats and assumptions typical of environmental remediation - the early years.

I have ran into well educated people (to include the sciences and engineering) that rationalize their beliefs. They simply place greater weight on evidence supporting their beliefs than those opposed.
