Good to know! Does that include medicaid/medicare payments? I’m not trying to be snarky, really looking more for facts. Planned Parenthood’s site seemed to indicate most of their funds came from preventative medicaid reimbursements which is what my statement is based on. If that isn’t true I will make sure not to make

But federal funds pay the rent on the facilities and the salaries of the health care providers - without which abortions could not be offered (so the argument goes).

I think they do, but the argument against it is that money is fungible and therefor the hyde amendment doesn’t really matter. And while I’m a strong pro-choicer who has volunteered at clinics, the money is fungible argument is about the most logical stance anti-choicers seem to take.

I think the statistics are 7 years for divorce in the US. (or around 7 years, 6.8 - 7.4, and it varies from year to year) so from marriage? I’m not an expert but a survivor :) I had a really tough time starting right around year 6.5 and I googled it and knowing that it was a “thing” absolutely helped me get through

I really love the midwest house rehab shows! I grew up in Indy and have been thrilled to see multiple small family business come in and start rehabbing neighborhoods. The Good Bones ladies are the real deal. I also adore Rehab Addict (She does Detroit and Minneapolis).

I had totally forgotten this song but it made me laugh all over again. The music in this show is pretty fantastic.

The 7 year itch is real and statistically documented! It is no joke! Apparently it is the point at which couples basically have to make a conscious choice to adapt/accept their partner long term.

TMBG and Cash got the MOST rotation when our littles were babies. Sometimes it is for the parents more than for the children. Listening to Cash singing “Nasty Dan” on the kids album is just like listening to any old album. It imparts a lovely sense of normalcy when lacking sleep and covered in spit-up and makes it

Thanks for the Snow Day video link! I love how much delight Cunningham took in everyone around him.

I’m the wife of an academic and I am super pissed for you AND for his wife. What a poop-head.

No joke - after the first power grid hack stories came out (a few months ago I think?) I bought extra water and some spare canned goods for the first time since the months following 9/11. We keep talking about getting a generator but then worry that we are like our crazy prepper relatives.

Considering the “Space Force”crap yesterday (and other things) - this video was painfully prescient.

As a mother, this is powerful to me: “We need adults, it’s how we are fueled.” I’m sitting here trying to find the words to express just how it struck a chord, but I can’t. Let’s be the adults these kids needs right now.

I work for a company that does some de-aging vfx for big studios - no TV show is getting the type of budget to pull that off on any kind of regular basis!

The series finale of Angel is my absolute favorite finale ever! It is my benchmark of all series finales and only one (The Leftovers) has met it.

My 6 year old son was the same way. He thought it was absolutely magical, he identified more with Meg than Calvin, and said that Oprah was “perfect, like a unicorn.” Watching him watch the movie was a really wonderful experience for me! I think you are right on that this is a movie created for children (without the

Internet High-Fives for that one!

I think firing Mueller would get people into the streets again. I’ve seen/heard many people say that if that line is crossed they would risk skipping work/losing their jobs to protest.

I drag my family or friends to Action Bowling for duckpin whenever I come into town! Back in my day (:))Mass Ave was where the character was but then someone crashed their car into the Abbey and it was never the same.

meh . . . do Broadripple andFountain Square count as character? I kid - I like Indy well enough and all my people are there.
