@wednesdayam: Yup, and any scene before it that those kids appeared in was awful since I already knew what happened to them. I've seen photos, and they really were all adorable children— don't know how someone could look at those faces and coldly kill them.

@sampagita: OK, this is hilarious, but I also feel pretty bad for this cat. Between the paw washing, and the forced utensil tied to its paw, I don't think the cat has much of a choice in this if it wants to eat.

@NefariousCAT: If that turns out to be true, they deserve the harassment described in this story.

@doit2julia: Totally understand, and again I'm so sorry you had these bad experiences. I think, like you said, a diligent eye is important, as is continuous, open communication with your kids, without being too too overprotective/smothering, and your kids will likely be just great. You sound pretty level-headed, which

@LucilleMcGillicuddy: Yes! Didn't Lisa Welchel (Blair, from the Facts of Life) come out in favor of this punishment in some parenting magazine interview a couple of years back? She is also of the fundy persuasion, I believe.

@doit2julia: I'm so sorry this happened to you! But to provide a counterpoint, I was in daycare as a little kid, and worked at a couple summers in college, and only had good experiences. Both were higher-end daycares (i.e. more expensive), so I'm sure that played a role, but I think they were also just well-managed.

@SarahMC: It's been awful. I have bad allergies, so I knew it was coming. But then on top of that I actually am sick (fever and all), so I am completely miserable this week.

@tailfeather: I am crying laughing at your story!

@Love Monkey: "Babe, you know how it is! These women see me on tv and with you, and they think they can totally lie and get at our money... Being famous is so touch, I know you understand. Obviously I would *never* mistreat one of my employees; we're all like family!"

@Joy: Oooh, I can easily see myself doing that. I can only imagine the taste!

@Joy: Knowing the folks in the story, I think they probably could have technically afforded the ER visit, but were just being very frugal and self-sufficient!

@ptarmigan: Given that he's from the U.P. of Michigan, he very well might.

@tammygarrison: Aww, so cute! That's so great you guys took her in. A friend has a cat who does it that her husband rescued from the side of the highway, where it had been dumped as a kitten. It's a Maine Coone, and the vet they took it to after said it likely didn't meet some breed standard, so some assholes must

18 years old is still really young to be able to stand up to sexual harrassment (or worse). I'm not sure I would have been assertive enough to at that age, especially if I was living on my last dollar in NYC and this shoot was my only means of survival...

@tammygarrison: Mine never fully learned, which is too bad, since it's so much fun.

@TheMsroyale: His ears and tail were in full-on play mode...so at least in this instance I think bebeh was safe!

@Mrs. Beeton: I got my cat in 1999, and she is still alive and well! And still quite playful...

@AllieCaulfield: Normally I'd be in 100% agreement with you on this, and do hate when the other woman gets blamed every time.
