@girlarchaeologist: Ha! I saw your username in my Replies, and I thought, "Ah, I'll get a real expert's opinion now". So now I'm cracking up. Your comment is definitely more...sociological than I expected :)

@ahpooks: Oh wow, seriously?? Ugh, that's so much worse.
@sayah: Ha, ha, good call!
So Mark McGwire used steroids during the summer of home runs. Really, who would have thought? /sarcasm
@twirlywhirly: Yeah, but I think he's only saying it because the subject hits just a little too close to him, and he's trying to change the subject...
I just RTFA'd, and they are reaaaaally stretching to assume that the pigments in shells must be makeup.
@jfwlucy: @Poubelle: No kidding. And I thought nothing she did in the article was particularly "abusive", just aggressively involved.
I read this over the weekend, and couldn't believe the illustrations that accompanied the piece— they really were ridiculous. The one of her tearing her shirt off was especially overwrought.
@Squabble: That totally makes sense (and I didn't think about hair products, or oil, come to think of it), thanks! One of life's mysteries somewhat solved...
@sarahsmile: Yeah, that at least makes total sense! And I can see maybe folks like mechanics or construction guys getting shirts dirty pretty easily, but why the collar more than the rest of it??
Okay, does ring around the collar actually happen?? I mean, if a dude showers every day or so, I'm not understanding why the neck of the shirt would get stained. I can see maybe the armpits, because of all the sweat, but the collar of a shirt?

@NorthernLite: Also, supposedly the reason she asked Joe Biden "Can I call you Joe?" at the beginning of their debate was at the request of McCain staff— because during practice sessions she kept accidentally calling him "O'Biden" instead of "Biden". Ha!
@Penny: Seriously eyeroll worthy.
@twisted_martini: Don't know why I didn't think of checking snopes on this, but here we go:
@twisted_martini: Almost every college I've heard of has some version of this urban legend associated with its town...
@goodcheapfun: Well you know, she's pretty sophisticated for her age— what with the high heels and all...so maybe she's just very advanced in her television preferences too.
@NewsBunny: Ha, tip!
@la vie en hypnose: Oh. My. And, ow!
@I, Zombie Normal: I do watch it, and totally understand and appreciate that the SOTU address takes priority, but just to give some context— the LOST season premiere is the first episode since May, so it's been an almost 10 month hiatus. It's also the type of show that ends its seasons on a cliffhanger full of…
