@willwriteforfood: Brava...this is exactly what I was thinking. Obviously this is her attempt at an image makeover, but it seems pathetically transparent.

Kate Gosselin said that her kids miss the TLC cameras and were all "sobbing" at the loss of their pals: "They cried in the van on the way home from school the other day," Kate told Babs. "They kept asking, 'Where's the camera crew? Where's the camera crew? We miss them.' And I said, 'Our show is over.'"

@yvanehtnioj: Yeah, totally anecdotal, but a friend's parents adopted three siblings who were being sexually abused when they were finally taken from their mother. After the adoption, one of the girls (who was at most 11) was repeatedly found in her younger brother's (age 6) or sister's (age 8) room abusing them

@acrobatic rabbit: Some refs can be HUGE asses sometimes, and have weird power trips and their own opinions about chicks in hockey. Don't know if that was the case here, but I wouldn't be surprised.

@junkyardarts: This is only NHL, though, not high school from what I've been told (also a player, though female leagues only).

@OneTwoPunch: Scuffles are only allowed in NHL— in U.S. high school (not sure if Canada is different) hockey, and NCAA college hockey, fighting is not allowed. Doesn't mean it doesn't occasionally happen, but refs usually stop it right away (not just if someone goes down on the ice, again only NHL) and penalties are

For those who are saying fighting is allowed, that's in NHL, not high school hockey (even college/NCAA hockey doesn't allow it).

@Nun Shall Pass: Ugh, you'd think, but as a senior, I was bullied by 2 freshman girls on my volleyball team. I still feel like a dunce for it over 10 years later (like, why couldn't I tell them to shove off? why did I even let them get to me?), but it does happen.

@OldEnough2BYourMama: Yeah, seems like ever time a big celebrity goes to Cedars-Sinai for something vaguely scandalous, hospital staff violate HIPAA and dish to TMZ on their chart and condition.

"Jen loves Christmas, and her house was festively decorated with a huge tree, twinkling Christmas lights and fragrant flower arrangements," says her publicist, trying to keep her relevant. [People]"

@RiloKilo: Was about to post the same thing, but you already said it well. Curly hair looks awesome, but it doesn't look awesome most of the time without quite a bit of work.

@Hooplehead: Doesn't send the greatest message to their children, though, of what a healthy, stable marital/long-term relationship is. I think the kids would be better off and less confused if she split from him.

@RiotGrrrl: Yeah, the best way to take it is alone, when you are already in bed and ready to be asleep at any moment. So not as you're wrapping up a tv show, or washing your face before bed, or god forbid walking the dog. That's where a lot of people get into the bad issues.

@BuffySummers: I'm guessing that was encouraged by MTV so that they wouldn't have to have a big blur at the waterline-level in the hot tub, whereas for her lower parts they had to blur it while she took off her underwear, but then once she was in the water it was fine.

@applejuice: If I didn't have kids, then yes I'd consider it. But if I did, I just couldn't because I think it sets a really unhealthy example of a relationship/marriage for the kids.

@OldEnough2BYourMama: I've always gotten a kick out of parents that say, "Oh we don't let our Mackenzie watch television, it's bad for her development", and then you go to their house and their is a giant wallshelf of kids' videos.

@Penny: I'm picturing Leo having a Very Serious Discussion with the West Wing staff, and CJ doing some bantering with the press corps in the morning briefing, and then Josh getting his ass saved by Donna, followed by an end-of-the-episode inspiring talk with President Bartlett in the Oval Office, where he decides not
