    @Elaken: Yes, this. I've developed a great relationship with my boss's boss (who is female) because we both are runners, and will once a week try and meet up for a lunchtime run. It's given me *much* better access to her, and this has parlayed itself into some unique opportunities for me that my co-workers missed out…

    I very briefly (for like 2 days) started getting notifications for both starred and unstarred replies to my comments, but then ever since maybe the middle of last week(?) I've stopped getting any reply notification at all.

    @erinna: It depends, probably. I run about 10-12 miles/week (usua11y 3-4 at a time) at about a 9 minute mile pace, but there are plenty of step aerobic classes at my gym that will kick my ass and have me dripping sweat and short of breath only 1/2 hour in.

    @bluebears: I have my own completely inexpert theory that most people were just too busy and physically exhausted from trying to stay warm, stay fed, and stay sheltered to engage in senseless violence.

    @funzette: I had several friends growing up with Indian parents, so I'm hearing all these things in your list being said in their fathers' accent, and it's kind of awesome— mainly because they'd tell me all the time that their fathers said things just like this. #idiotbox

    @EndangeredRed: Yeah, I'm 5'8" and have veered between muscular and bony-skinny at different times due to health issues, and that is no 120 lbs. Even if it is, then the "skinny" after picture of her isn't 112 lbs then, as there is significantly more than 8 lbs weight loss between the two. #nicolejoelmarried
