That game is full of tiny particles and sprites. What you’re seeing isn’t the game being slow, it’s the video encoder tanking frames because it can’t handle those particles efficiently.
Someone get this guy a Hololens, we found a consumer use that someone might actually want.
If you can max out the score, the negatives provide a way to error check. If you are adding but the score goes negative instead, then you know there was an overflow without having to check the old score against the new one. (Which, ok, is pretty easy too, but a good programmer will still optimize.)
In terms of matching regional expectations, I think 7-Eleven Japan is still just a convenience store, but compared to America they have a much wider selection of products and services.
