This is rich coming from someone who has written post after post of made up fantasies about me while projecting what you think excuses your own bad driving onto that fantasy. Lane squatters like you are the worst because they’re so self centered they can’t accept that someone else might be right; they’ll stubbornly

You would be well served to read your own post and take it to heart. Squatter.

And?

If this is what you gleaned from my post, I have to assume you’re a skimmer.

Ended up having my Sister in Law practically give us her old car when she bought a new one, so we put off the hunt for a little while. It’s starting to ramp back up now, and because our needs have changed in the meantime, a Ridgeline or similar non-full-sized 5 passenger pickup truck with at least 5k lbs towing is on

It’s a simple design choice made by Ford to either save a few pennies, and/or to let those who didn’t opt for the more expensive Focus know that they weren’t as important as those buyers.

This from the guy who has an entire fantasy life for me built in his head. Is this “me” from your fantasy imaginings what runs through your vacant mind while sitting at the wheel of your CRV lumbering along in the passing lane below the average speed of traffic? Squatter.

We ended up having a car dropped in our laps by my sister in law. But the other cars that we were considering at the time were the Focus, Versa (abso-fucking-lutely the worst car ever), the Corolla iM, and a few other small hatches.  Nothing really struck us as “the one”, though.

Not flat”, and hinges protruding aren’t really the same thing, though. I guess I could have worded my post better. The hinges were sticking up above the “flat” floor, so anything that you put back there could get hung up on them, or scratched by them, or if it was something that needed to lay flat, would be kept from

Yeah, but even taking out the bottom pad the hinges still protruded up into the cargo area keeping it from being perfectly, or even close to flat. We mostly noticed this because we compared it to the Focus hatch at the time which didn’t have this issue.

The one big, glaring issue that stopped me from considering the Fiesta a few years ago while I was in the market was when folded flat, the back seat hinges intruded into the cargo area keeping it from actually being flat. I couldn’t believe such a simple thing to fix was left like that in a car built by a company like

I didn’t look at who was authoring this piece before diving in, and within a few sentences had decided it was Rich Kristen.

If you really wanted to save lives, instead of wishing more fantasies upon me, you’d quit lane squatting in your CRV and also stop trying to justify squatting by pretending it isn’t inherently dangerous.

You long ago lost any credibility. You’re still wrong. You’re still a danger. You’re still advocating and engaging in irresponsible behavior, that can lead to injury and death.

...and stolen Sporticus’s mustache on the way by.

One might call them ‘denial-minivans’, even.

ikr? It’s like designers are thinking just because the engineers figured out a way to keep passengers from smashing into it with every little bump, they’re obligated to work at making the dashboard as jagged as possible.

These are all wonderful things, now if only manufacturers could stop putting the equivalent of 6" stilettos on all their wagons already.

The Nissan Quest development team just said “Hold my beer” in unison.

Still fantasizing. At least I can take this knowledge with me and know that no matter how lonely I ever get, someone, somewhere is fantasizing about me.  Thank you for that.
