I’m actually a fan of both as artists and this terrible back and forth between them has made it hard to find them both likable as people, but the Netflix documentary, trite as it was, made me reconsider the fact that Swift was basically a teenager in over her head back then, and the amount of vitriol and hatred thrown

I’m no fan of Taylor Swift but I find it hard to see what exactly she’s done wrong here. She was the was one humiliated on national TV in the first place, she was the one who had the demeaning song written about her, and the one who had a doctored conversation released in order to smear her, and her reaction to most

I gotta hear LindaFromHR's opinion before I make up mind.

Eh, it’s basically the Rat Pack, only they don’t pretend to be friends between the shit talk. Pop culture is driven by narcissistic assholes with varying levels of talent. You could even say that “pop culture” IS narcissistic assholes with varying levels of talent. Nice, talented people don’t inspire the mix of social

“Teen Beat”? Kanye’s a 42-year-old man. Taylor is 30. The incident that started all this happened in 2009.

“KarenFromAccounts”. Perfect.

I don’t get it. You all constantly slated Taylor when all along, she was right about him. Now, Kanye’s been called out for lying, people act like they haven’t slated her. — KarenFromAccounts, London, United Kingdom, 8 hours ago

What I take away from this is she really wants to kill her father.

Her “inner circle” is the Goop board of directors and Ron Paul.

I’m going to choose not to get furious about this and just congratulate Marshall from How I Met Your Mother on opening up his own law firm.

The most serious part of this is that she lives with her father who is currently battling Leukemia. She has a very real, very immediate reason that she should be minimizing his exposure to ANYTHING. She goes off on it being a bad flu. Sure, but your dad shouldn’t be exposed to bad flu right now either. That’s why

But also: “Some people value their lives over freedom, some people value freedom over their lives. We all make our choices.” (Or, to quote Patrick Henry: “Give me Gymboree, or give me death!”)

It’s just one of those moments where people are not in the mood for this shit. It’s always annoying when the rich and famous do the “we’re just like you” shtick, but when the rest of us have to still go to work because getting sick is less scary than becoming homeless and some normal people can’t get tested until

‘But if you’re going to do this, at least ask Seth Rogen next time.’

You can tell half of these commenters were all "B-b-b-but...!" before they finished the first paragraph

Or, maybe, you could not assume your personal experience is evidence and look at data. “Bernie Bros” are and have been a myth. His supporters aren’t any worse than anyone else’s. But I suppose you have to have something to complain about.

What are you talking about?

The weird thing is....plenty of people blame Sanders and his supporters for Clinton’s loss in 2016.  It can’t be both.

Thanks for writing this Ashley - I am a brown woman for Bernie, and I feel seen.

Thank you for articulating all this erasure and spin. You outlined my frustration, and that of many, many others. When I went to the LA Sanders rally, I saw every kind of American in attendance. For exactly the reasons you address. I hope this article gets the attention it deserves! Heck yeah, I want a revolution.
