Coaching has been in games for a long time, but literally participating mid-match calling strategies is not normal in games. For instance, Starcraft teams have coaches, but there isn’t a guy standing there while a player is mid-match telling him what he should be doing.

The coaches pass info to their team watching their own team, they’re not watching the opposing team’s screens, they wouldn’t be able to see them even if they were trying to do that.
