Can we get trigger warnings for the soundtrack? Some of us are severely allergic to trite twee bullshit.

Lena Dunham, that is not a possibly great idea, it is the excuse of a shitty person who doesn’t want to admit to or apologize for being shitty. GOD! How is it possible that I just dislike her more EVERY DAY!?

I’ve been a game developer for close to a decade now, and when I heard about this my first reaction was “Wow, that is probably way harder than it sounds.” I don’t really play LoL, but I’ve been on a game that have had to tackle this exact problem, so my guess is the issues are similar.

Pretty much every popular old-school rock star has gotten away with flat-out rape, because there was no concept of having regrettable sex with a million dollar rock star. You’re both on something and you don’t regret that shit, and if you do, you suck it up because it’s only rape if a stranger jumps out and gets you.

Jimmy Page had his roadies kidnap a 14-year-old to bring to him.

No need to wonder.

You know my dear gal (or guy) at this point I can't tell even the difference. But I still enjoyed it regardless. Thank you for something — helping me understand that I need to get the hell off this site before I embarrass myself further:) ps. I CAN'T star anyone!

Anyone who has had much experience doing extemporaneous public speaking knows that sooner or later, some damn fool thing is going to come out of your mouth.

I think what she said was ignorant. I don't think she's a racist. Those two opinions can coexist quite peacefully.

No trans people on shows: “WHY ARE YOU SO TRANSPHOBIC?!”

You shock me. I thought it was intended to promote the Euterpean arts.

I’d expand that to anything where having (or failing to have) an emotional reaction to the content is tied to morality (starving kids, patriotism, Jesus, etc.)

Sounds like she needs a more power player on her side re: exec producer.. I’m sure having Judd attached to Girls helped move that shit forward quicker

They are VERY controlling. Once a project gets to HBO, a creator is practically relinquishing a huge chunk of control over their project, especially those documentaries that HBO is so famous for.

Yeah, my husband was very excited to tell me a few weeks ago that Starz is making a TV show of “American Gods” and my response was “Don’t you mean HBO?” Turns out it spent so much time in development hell at HBO that it’s moving to Starz.

No it doesn’t. HBO are basically gods of tv production. Nobody cares what some butthurt Gawker “journalist” has to say

While I don’t doubt race has some factor in it, having your dream crushed by unrealistic edits and suggestions appears to be relatively common in Hollywood. Hell, even Family Guy did an episode where the same happened to Brian's show.

Texas law gives officers the authority to arrest anyone for a traffic violation. The reason this doesn’t happen all the time is because departments have their own policies in place regarding traffic stops and arrests. While the arrest in this case may have been in violation of department protocols, that in and of

I’m not a lawyer, but they’re not getting a dime out of that cop. At best you can say he was too rough during the arrest, but that’s not going to hold up for a wrongful death suit.

It has to do with the constructs of racism, because the book embraces the dichotomy that race is both a shifting social construct and immutable fact. For example, “Jew” and “Italian” and even “German” were once not considered “white” in this country, and now they definitively are.
