The thing I hate almost as much as the man assaulting the woman is the OTHER man DEMANDING a reason why she won’t just kiss the dude. Haven’t we all been there, ladies? You reject a terrible dude and he or his buddy wants ~answers~?

Hot take: I think he’s a dick.

Were you using birth control?
We broke up and Marla stopped the pill, still off the day we got back together, nice knowing she wasn’t on it while we weren’t.

It brought back a lot of memories of my ex who would purposely grab my boobs or crotch when I wasn’t paying attention. I TOLD him I didn’t like being touched like that out of nowhere and it just made it funnier to him. It really made him laugh a lot if he got a particularly good pinch in. His favourite was placing his

I think it actually is genuine!

I love them both, and I LOVED Americanah so it was so cool to see the work of an author I admire get mainstream attention. But I do agree with her. I love Beyoncé and I understand that her work is very much centered around her as a person and therefore her relationship features heavily in it. But I also sometimes feel

Sean Penn is dating his good friend’s daughter? Man, that is one open-minded friend.

‘Just experiment and get to know your body and practice!’

While I think a lot of issues surrounding sex are psychological (because of a weird shame culture, not because bitches be cray), you make a good point that we are quick to link female sexual issues to neuroses. It’s great that we’ve come to realize that mental health is very important, but sometimes your body is just

Huh, I didn’t expect the reactions to this to be so dismissive or mean. This sounds like a super shitty problem and I’m sorry you have to deal with it. One of my friends used to have vaginismus and it was no joke.

I just had to fake a coughing fit in the office so I don’t have to tell colleagues what I am lol’ing about..

Haha, I was just going to say! L’Oreal is one of the companies that offers PhD funding for women at my uni.

YES! Mrs. Kardashian-West has been growing on me recently, and it would just be such a great way to use her fame and $$ to make a big fat point about sexual harrassment. Come on, Kim, go for it!

I DON’T UNDERSTAND ANY OF IT. I also feel really bad for the American Niamhs and Siobháns whose parents wanted to ‘honour their ethnicity’. Good luck to Nee-ham and See-ob-han on their first day of school (+the rest of their lives).

I thought We Need to Talk About Kevin was great, but now I am glad I never read her other books..

As an Irish woman in Ireland, 90% of the stuff Americans do in the name of ‘being Irish’ is ???, but not at all offensive. It’s simply too far removed to be appropriation. (Just to add, this is obviously completely different from people appropriating cultures of minorities, which is dumb and gross).

I sort of hate her for making me suffer through Eat, Pray, Love (I got it as a gift and kept thinking it might get better but IT WAS LIES) and she seems to be Gwyneth-levels of annoying, but this story is sweet and good for her.

This is just another instance in which the Western world ‘cares about women’ if and only if it is instrumental in discriminating against another group of people.

Crying and wine.

I succesfully grew (a LOT of) chili peppers in my 3rd floor downtown Amsterdam apartment! I am also the killer of all plants, but the peppers were so easy. I did keep them inside though, I installed a little rail above my windows and hung pots from it. But once the plants are big enough I would think they can
