It’s nice to cite trucks as the reason for the increase but I have to believe the increase of idiots in cars is as much of a contributing factor as the trucks themselves are.

Long term planning is rarely a skill found in serial criminals like this, as the conclusion is pretty much always the same and becomes more inevitable with each repeated crime.

For starters, we pass a law that says banks don’t get bailed out. Ever.

Oh look.......another ignorant comment.

ABC7 says he has a criminal history going back over 20 years that spans eight states.

Another argument for concealed carry (with mandatory training of course).

It’s, hilariously, about the worst possible example he could have chosen as somehow demonstrating his “point.” This guy created his own incidents, without traffic stops, clearly had no fear of traffic stops, and in response to multiple complaints, police investigated him, located him, and arrested him without traffic

It’s not a traffic stop if there is an incident literally occurring in the middle of the road. False equivalence is strong here.

Why does she need a gun when she can just drive away???

So this guy could get out and shoot people instead of just hitting their cars with a pipe?

Dude is obviously off his rocker, but I would be curious what actually instigated this whole incident.

Looks like an old cop car, not an active one.

Thank you for this. The article doesn’t mention if the car was part of a sponsorship, was just a display car with risks borne by the tournament owner or the MB sponsor, etc. I guess why I am saying is this is what you get when Jalopnik repackages someone else’s article and doesn’t do any research on its own.

Last time one of these articles were posted, it was brought up that traditionally the sponsor (usually a car dealer) would take out some kind of insurance policy (which the presumably do for other sorts of promotions they aren’t expecting to win, which explains better how local mom & pop dealerships can be doing

Golfing in itself doesn’t make you rich, nor do you have to be rich to do it. Pro doesn’t even mean you’re making a lot of money doing it, that’s just the top PGA/LPGA people that make loads. I’m sure for the vast majority of golfers, former pro or not, winning a $90k Benz would be life-changing.

I imagine this one won’t be tied up in the courts for too long. Did the rules say that you cannot be a retired pro? No? Well, give the lady her Benz and amend the rules for next time.

The last BOF wagon, a master of the road, in Blue Brothers parlance “cop motor, cop suspension, cop shocks”, can fit up to 9 passengers, and tow! The Buick Roadmaster was basically a culmination of lessons learned from all of it’s predecessors. It was easy to work on, had an appropriate amount of power to haul around
