Can someone explain to me again how dispatching a disproportionate amount of officers in riot gear to a peaceful demonstration against police brutality isn’t just proving the protesters’ point?
The amount of space you have for cars that sit idle is at most the number of garage spots plus the number of driveway spots. I don’t understand why people think front lawns and sidewalks are their private parking lots.
I thought the same thing when I read about having to keep a vehicle in order to offset the $2k he lost getting it fixed. That’s not how money works, it’s gone.
True, but at this point we all know better, so anyone who points to advice from 3 months ago as to why they are still doing something that is now universally panned is being intentionally obtuse.
I’m also tired of, “Well, this thing happened, but his body cam was off. We’ve put him on paid leave.” Fuck that. If you don’t follow all of the protocols in place and you’re involved in an “incident,” then you get nothing. You can sit at home (or how about a cell?) and collect exactly zero dollars and benefits while…
True to the marketing campaign, the Fit really is go. It’s crazy how much stuff you can cram into one of those things once you put the seats down.
I agree with you on the all-in costs. I’m just talking about your remark on it not being driving distance.
While that could potentially be a fun endeavor, not everyone is a road trip warrior. That’s at least a 2-day trip, plus the cost of wherever you spend the night. Compare that to a <3 hour flight that you can conceivably get for less than $50. For better or for worse, there’s a reason most airports are growing, not…
It’s because they were all watching the road, unlike Ms. Williams who was actively looking anywhere except where she was driving. You see a lot more if you’re not paying attention.
Most of the 2018 124 Spiders in a 500 mile radius of me are about $5K below MSRP. I imagine there would be additional discount for a 2017. Getting one for <$30K out the door seems like a very feasible proposition. Just finance it at whatever monthly payment you think a lease “should” be and trade it in after 2 or 3…
St. George makes a wine barrel-aged dry rye gin that I like to use in Negroni-esque cocktails. Walks the line between Negroni and Boulevardier perfectly.

If you do get a sizable tax refund, the next step is to fill out a new W-4 to reduce how much of your paycheck gets withheld and put that additional money in an interest-earning savings account. Congrats on getting your debt sorted out!
Traveling for work, using my travel card to get points, and getting points from the rental that roll into the loyalty program of my choosing? Hell yeah I’m checking the box for an extra $40-50. The fact that I don’t have to stop and fill up is just icing on the cake.
Yes, because kids in the early 00s weren’t chucking up fantastic bricks from 30+ feet out while yelling “Kobe!”
You’re right, but Sanchez is also nowhere near fast enough to have beat the throw to first. Again, the out was inevitable and the rest is just details.
Calling in sick and extending bad quarterbacks.
A 2001 red Eclipse GT Spyder with a manual was my mom’s mid-life crisis car. As a 6th grader, I thought that car was the coolest thing ever and I couldn’t wait to inherit it once I got my driver’s license. Apparently that’s not how leases work.
Considering how many Lamborghinis never make it above 80 mph on their way from a McMansion garage to the country club parking lot, it’s possible that there will be plenty of opportunity to get the most of the hybrid drivetrain.
