She was extremely unlikable, but that Louie went ahead and made a purchase anyway didn't earn him any brownie points either. He had a great opportunity to delay her closing, before taking his business to the other store she recommended.

The way "the touch" worked, along with the crowded city street scene, I thought for a moment it was going to play out more along the lines of Azazel the demon from "Fallen." And though they would not be able to afford to license it, the music would work, too, "Ti-i-i-ime is on my side, yes it is…"

Seeing Laurel able to smile was surreal. I think the botox is wearing off; I saw parts of her face move that never have before.

Two, apparently (different actors in same role).

I don't think we should feel sorry for her for being invited to dinner. She's stated before how much she wants to be part of the Bates family; this is by the most included she's ever been.

She should kick the shit out of whoever decided to make her wear that horrid blue hat.

I am not a cat!!! Seeing him made want an Intruders/Orphan Black crossover, because, why not even more layers of personalities?

The implication that her brother had molested her was set up in the previous episode with the "You think confessing is a good idea?" part of the conversation. As the reviewer points out, Aubrey is one of the people trapped in an unwinnable situation. One of the reasons she hadn't outed her foster brother before was

Were white Americans on missionary trips thought of differently? The U.S. government wasn't exactly supportive of the anti-apartheid movement, that would seem likely to engender some resentment toward groups like Pastor Tim's.

That makes sense, I suppose, but were there no white South Africans who were anti-apartheid?

I realize the group isn't going to South Africa, where Hans is from (which still would not preclude him from joining the group on their trip), but I'm unclear as to the distinction you're making about the trip not being until the summer. While my idle speculation was just that, the original comment was about something

Maybe it will be at the hands of Hans. He could join the youth group to keep an eye on Paige, offer to help out on the trip to Africa since he's from there…

Daniella Alonso. She's graduated to the female lead of the new Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 movie. I'm glad she's working, but not glad enough to go see that movie.

I believe he just bought it out for the night, not bought it outright.

It smells like Puerto Rico in here.

That's a somewhat valid point, but judging from other comments, I'm not the only one who didn't find the standup particularly funny. I don't think I would have found it much funnier if I wasn't a proponent of space exploration (though that's impossible to determine, of course). I did not say I was offended, however,

Seriously? That opening bit was the least funny bit I've ever heard him perform. It didn't help that the topic was a hot button issue of mine. There is little I find less humorous than people taking shots at NASA/scientific curiosity/intelligence in general. Maybe he was making some larger point about his own lack of

One of the things I liked about this episode was (what I took to be) the subtle commentary on the FBI's use of agent provocateurs. It probably won't inspire too many people to look into it, but those that do are set for a real revelation. Pretty much every single terrorism plot that the FBI brags about foiling were

I haven't seen enough Chaplin to know, but I mentioned a while back that I saw Stan Laurel mannerisms (facial expression mostly, but some larger movements as well) in JLM's performance. I'm drawing from some very old memories of Laurel & Hardy, though, I have no idea how accurate my impressions are. Thoughts?

Have you read The Idle Warriors by Kerry W. Thornley? He served in the USMC w/ LHO and wrote a non-fiction book about him before 11/22/63. Very interesting read by a very interesting author.
