welcome to the future.

that is only true if you do not have a full time job and kids (in my experience). It takes me weeks/months to get through the "2-4 day" games to which you are referring. just a lifestyle difference, but I haven't been able to power through games like that in years.

this is 100% correct

"100 Bullets" has a fun explanation for what happened there. Read!

"poignant as hell" as a phrase takes all the power away from the word poignant in my mind.

also thought this!

If that is your dilemma, then why do a remake/reboot at all? If you are going to depart so thoroughly from the source material, then shouldn't you just make a brand new product? This happened with that Shadowrun remake they did a few years ago. I thought it was terrible, b/c it didn't feel remotely close to what a

crap. I had my fingers crossed and everything!

but the quest was for the sankara stones. they just happened to be located in a temple filled with doooooom

To tell you the truth, I replay the game about once a year b/c it's so good. It has great music, fun levels, lots of interesting enemy types, and an hilarious script/voice work. Totally worth it.

Symphony of the Night for PSX/PSN is a great start. This is the title that reinvigorated the entire series and started a new trend that would continue for a bunch of games on Nintendo's handheld systems. Otherwise, try out Castlevania 3 for a classic title that has a fun character-switching mechanic.

"Men don't kiss men, Jaime!" - in light of current progressive thought, this quotation from the show always makes me laugh a lot.

you have summed up exactly what I felt about his article. It felt like it had a know-it-all quality to it - i.e., he was bitching about stuff when any other person would have shrugged and said, "All right. Seems fun." Seems like he was bitching in order to have something to complain about.

Oh, I understand, but why would I be looking for realism in a giant, flying aircraft carrier?

His article is bizarre, b/c he states how he liked the movie, but also thought it was "drivel" b/c there were superheroes and unrealistic elements. Really?

I assumed they would pull in her and the Executioner, Ulik and some trolls, or Surtur and the fire giants - though they have already thrown giants in there. It would be awesome to see Beta Ray Bill, but I don't see it happening.

I actually assumed that was what he would mention.

I didn't think we were admitting it publicly though.

how awesome would a Spelljammer game be? You could visit Krynn if you really wanted to I guess.

there was a Blade Runner game for PC back in the 90s that I remember being vaguely cool. Its plot ran parallel to the movie.
