I could not believe someone had not already posted it.
Gotta be this, if we are going for small cars.
I believe I have a picture of the builder
I do not want to live it that world, but if you twist my arm, it would be an F150 4x4 Crew cab. It can haul 5 adults comfortably, haul almost anything you need or tow almost anything and they have good long term reliability. I would desperately miss having a sporty car, but I need the rest of those things.
You are correct. I have no idea why you would purchase any other color on a Mazda. It is the best color I have seen on a car in years.
The Buick is a good answer. I love a good hot hatch as much as the next Jalop, but no one wants to drive one for 2 hours a day for a commute. You want comfort. I have not driven a Mazda 3, but from what I have read, it might be a good compromise. Volvo and VW are not reliable, comparatively and have much higher…
Can confirm. These things were the definition of “eventually” as a 0-60 time.
I am loving your stuff so far. You give me hope that perhaps Jalopnik’s best days are not behind it. Keep up the good work!
I’d build a tree fort in our yard. ND
Yes, but Kia’s quality does not suck, as opposed to GM (especially in that era).
Car companies just aren’t in business to help the environment.
Great truck, I have had 2 of them, one was a V6. They are way underpowered, but the aftermarket has solutions. This is too much for a 4cyl 2wd model, even in the presented condition.
Hard nope from me, but....
I’ll just post it and you all can figure out the year
Welcome! It’s good to have some fresh writers in here, and I hope you all enjoy and bring Jalopnik back to it’s former glory.
Had a former co-worker who had both a Ninja and a GSR. He would drive one until there was an APB out for it (I am not sure how he knew), and then put it in a shed and drive the other one. This cycle repeated several times for the 2 years we worked together.
Good luck! This sounds like it will be interesting reading, but I fear it will be more difficult than you anticipate.
I think you present a compelling argument, but I still am not convinced government inspections are a good idea. The main reason is the slippery slope you mention in the article. Well meaning people always tend to increase restrictions until they become what you experienced in Germany. Rarely do systems start out that…
V8 truck, that is in decent shape is worth 4K any day. NP
