You must mean expensive in a cost of living to wages ratio. I have friends and a sister in Portland, so I have done housing comparisons, and I’ve just been there recently. Home prices are much less expensive than Brooklyn (where I live), as are goods/services.

There is a much more hospitable option to Womyn’s Land. It’s called Portland.
