No. ARMA is designed to be highly realistic. Guns have bullet drop. There are 4 or 5 different combat stances to choose from. You can lean around corners. Bullets can kill in 1 or 2 hits from miles away. Its more a simulation than a arena combat game(CoD) even though it has its own set of issues

You do have to know how to read a map and report your location to your team-mates. It's a team game, and if you can't communicate effectively through use of a mic, then you're better off not playing. It's serious business my man!

The Arma series is incredible and Arma III is great, definitely worth it. The user-made missions and campaigns (not to mention mods) provide unlimited gameplay. The single-player campaign is not out yet though, it will be released as free DLC.
