I’ve already decided if I found I cheap 12 lb spec Boxster roof I would pass on it as I like being able to put the top down and cruise home along the coast after a fun day at the track. Whatever that amount of build works out. This might be about it. I don't really want to lose the stereo either. Also, if I'm too Read more

Thank you. It’s a wrap from 3M. The previous owner put it on and I have to say, while the wrap was a discontinued color and I couldn’t find a perfect match, covering up my horrible excuse for body work could not have been easier. I tried to show the repair in the pics. The passenger door doesn’t open. All of that Read more

If there was any lasting question about the quality of Simpson gear, they seem to have done all in their power to answer it by making everything absolutely they make completely bulletproof. I just bought a “speedway” duffel bag for my racing helmet, suit, etc, and for less than $100 I have a bag the SWAT team could Read more

It’s a convertible. When you drive with the top down things get dusty, including the inside of the glass and a gauges. I keep a roll of workshop towels in my Boxster for the same reason. They're just going the microfiber route as they're classier than I.

It sounds to me like you decided it was a wheel bearing and all the evidence suggests it isn’t. Maybe a CV joint? It could be as simple as a stone wedged between your caliper and the rotor which sounds like hell too. Read more

There was an owl living in the tree in front of my place and I don’t know what it ate but it shit like crazy so I parked the M5 up the block for a bit and my neighbor gave me this note about my car. 😂

That’s courtesy of the previous owner who wrapped it in 3M color shift film for about $500 all said and done. It's more purple at another angle. It's not exactly my thing but I get a lot of compliments on it. It's the very generic silver under the vinyl -- I'm glad it's got some personality.

I just replaced some suspension parts myself and had to drive the car to the alignment shop with a heathy amount of rear toe out on the rear wheels. It felt like I had destroyed the car until the alignment magically made it all work. Scary bit of a drive though!

The reason your monitoring shows weird results has to do with your phone’s GPS slow refresh rate. Basically you might hit the gas and hit 50mph and your phone doesn’t know if it took three seconds or five seconds if your timing is just so. So you might be REALLY fast or similarly slow due to a 1 second refresh. Read more

I figured there'd be someone here waaaaaaaaay better at this game than I expected. It's a Lada. That's all I know. I don't know what model exactly. Honestly I didn't know that they even came in different models! 🤦🏼‍♂️😂

Replacing bolts with studs is pretty damn simple. Also cheap. You have options.
