Even the loaded, nearly $40k MSRP V6 Camrys roll off the lots around here for under $35k..

Experienced that when shopping around for Nissan Armadas. You pull up and see multiple sales staff start walking towards you before you even get out of your car. Felt like knowingly jumping into shark infested waters.

Very common on the N- and B-series BMW engines, sockets for that aren’t expensive or difficult to find at all

If they can get this on the road in the next two years or so, assuming this punches with the G70 price-wise (and performance-wise), I’m 100% a potential buyer for this. I love BMWs, but between the mile-high price of the new (and thoroughly meh-looking) M340i and a new high-mile commute, I’m not so sold on going back

Pferdestärke!

Right? The C43 is a more attractive proposition than the M340i inside, outside, and sound-wise, and that bothers me.

Could be worse, the GT350 (and PP2 Mustang) have 305s on all four corners.

Yeah, but then it looks like a Model 3!

Also a BMW guy, and I can’t disagree with this. However much Audi gets accused of the “same sausage, different lengths” approach, the sausage itself at least looks decently sharp in almost all cases. The same cannot be said of, say, the new 3 series.

Manual take rate on the M2 is ~50%.  I doubt this will be quite that high, but it won’t be a trivial number.

Rode around in these a lot in Indonesia, I agree with this sentiment

Man, I just don’t get it. Even if CUVs aren’t quite your thing, the X3 and X5 are, and have been, fair-to-decent looking (if conservative) designs. I don’t care one bit for the coupe-ization of SUVs, but the last generation X4 and X6 (and sort of the current X4) were at least reasonable removals of roofline without

It’s best if you don’t actually drive one then, keep the dream a good one

Sorry, but this is the best news I’ve seen in a while.  The Cactus remains my least favorite rental car to date, and thanks to work I’ve rented quite a few both here and abroad.  The world is now a better place.

Very much so. Flew through Heathrow three weeks ago on holiday, and they were by far the most stringent about what you had to take off and take out of your bag as any airport in recent memory. Especially liquids, doesn’t matter if you were diligent about prepacking everything in ziploc bags, it still has to be

I had no idea that was a thing. That would be a hell of a project!

Ah, the Boeing approach

I dunno, I’d wager mine if someone ever wanted to challenge me to a fiddle competition.

You’ve just described my ideal project truck

I’m holding out for carrier pigeon service
