There’s basically no chance I would have gotten my custom spec’d Model S new for $55k in 2013 if Tesla had dealers. I could have sold it for a significant profit over a year after driving it.

It’s called building out a business. Ask Amazon. This is how growth stocks sometimes work.

The original 85kWh MS had a “300" mile range, which they had to walk back. I think this should be easy to accomplish with a 90kWh AWD Model 3, which should be smaller and lighter and using newer battery chemistry. I’m sure the optioned-up Model 3 will be close to 60k, which is more than my MS cost me new.

Electronics typically follow the bathtub curve for failures. But as software increases in complexity over time, the hardware becomes obsolete and will need to be upgraded.

I spent a few minutes yesterday on a passenger shaming website. People really are terrible. I think you’re spot on with the social pressure thing. With Uber, I’m in some random human’s personal vehicle. I’m on their turf, and act accordingly. I rode with 3 of my drunk moron friends one time on my account, I can only

Uber has been very convenient for me the times I’ve used it. But the drivers are not professionals. I had a “oh god I’m going to die in this guy’s Kia Soul” moment the other day. As crazy as cabbies are, they at least know what they’re doing.

    Right PSI or die

I gave it a chance, but that was the worst qualifying I can remember watching. Revert to the old system please.

Agreed...if you can live with the interior.

Alternate theory: John Elway hates Brock Osweiler because he represents (relative) success when compared to his son Jack, who quit at ASU the same spring practice that Brock first appeared. What could have been John!

Top tip...Home Depot floor samples for coasters.

They really need to take the Phoenix Open method for this race. More tiers of exclusivity, a giant party zone that’s less expensive, and low price GA. 201k people on Saturday this year at the open, and I’d bet more than half didn’t watch any golf.

I can’t think of any better match for NASCAR than Trump. The fanbase is his picture-perfect demographic. Any thoughts that NASCAR would become a diverse, broadly appealing sport is nonsense. It also is fitting that they would support a NYC billionaire as “one of them”, without any sense of irony.

I had T12 in 2013 as well. Great views of the entire complex from 12-15, and the end of the DRS zone. But wow, I have never paid that much money for bleacher seats without concessions or real bathrooms. Looked into T15 for that reason, but then you’re talking PSL.

I think you’ll be able to buy a $35k Model 3 at some point, but Tesla has the options game figured out. I expect there to be $20k in options available, with fully loaded versions shipping for the first few months (like the S and X). And it’s all too easy to click on those options in the configurator.

Yes, folks, pencil sharpeners. I don’t know about you plebian scum, but my pencils are only sharpened by Ethan Allen.

So it’s replacing the B-52 for $52B, got it.

Literally my first thought...”so 20 people spent a week working on this”.

    I’m fine with this.

Someone’s insurance is about to get surge pricing. I’ll let myself out...
