I think we’re going to see a return to coach building. You’ll have something like Tesla/GM build the mechanicals (i.e. skateboard platform), Apple/Google build the control and entertainment interface, and a coach builder make the little room that bolts on top. In no way do I ever see Apple building an actual

Why is this asshole on TV? Oh right, he’s selling something.

I think that halo design sucks.

Stretching 25min of content into an hour show...it’s the History Channel way.

What’s the worst type of food you can spill in your car?

This should be a mandatory feature...

Button seems like a cool guy.

The city of Portland would wet itself at the opportunity to add a new stadium tax. And then they would give half of the season tickets to the homeless and people who were displaced by the stadium would get their own suites.

I remember the Viper prototype specs vaguely. Something like a $14k msrp. Obviously that never materialized and the intertubes don’t remember that far back.

    Who needs a car?

You missed car naps. Fully adjustable leather heated seat and climate control. It’s a cacoon of intense snoring. Even better in an electric car you don’t have to idle/kill yourself from carbon monoxide exposure. But either way it’s a deep sleep.

Bob Lutz is one of those golden people that when he makes a decision, you know the opposite is best.

You can buy this salvage title Aston Martin Vantage with a lien on it for the price of a new Kia Soul.

How hard can it be to make an electric 4WD F150? Think of the torques!

But it’s actually a tax credit, which is my money I’m paying less to the gov. Kind of like if you have a kid, or a mortgage.

Their gross margin on the MS is over 25%, so they are just building out the business with the profit on cars. Things like buying new tools for the MX production line, more supercharger stations and service centers. I would bet that nothing they actually sell is below cost.

That’s probably how much I would charge for the pleasure of driving drunk idiots home at 1-3AM, during the most dangerous time to be on the road.

I certify that it is bullshit if we don’t have a USGP next year.

    Came here for Doug’s comment...

Those knobs are on the steering wheel in the MS. So you don’t have to take your eyes off the road or your hand off the wheel.
