Again, it’s your deliberately pedantic interpretation that you’re assuming a minority of other people observe or adhere to - which in and of itself is pretty specious. No one who fails their drivers test or gets caught driving under the influence (or reads Jalopnik) has ever said said “but it’s my right to drive”.
This was, indeed, needlessly pedantic. It’s understood that when people say “the right to drive” that the mean the ability to earn the privilege of driving.
