My father-in-law fought his way across Europe in 1944 - 45. Was bogged down in the Battle of the Bulge. Crawled for miles as a scout/sniper. Made it to Eastern Europe and was involved in providing humanitarian support to a liberated concentration camp full of the dead and dying. He died a couple years ago.

My Christmas wish this year is that the ghosts of all the soldiers who died in WWII fighting the Nazis rise from their graves and continue the good fight on American soil. They didn’t die fighting in a war just for those same stupid ideas to come back less than a century later.
